Meet the Team
Basically born into the Homekill industry, I’ve been brought up killing and processing next my parents who built Counties Custom Killing from scratch some 25 + yrs ago. After finishing my Mechanical Apprenticeship 5yrs ago I bought into the Family business and haven’t looked back. Now managing up to 7 staff keeps me on my feet. When I’m not at work I can be found out on the water Fishing or in the Gym Kickboxing, I am currently NZ’s Professional Muay Thai Kickboxing Champion.
My former husband and I started this business 26 years ago. We firstly only offered On Farm Killing but soon realised alot or our clients preferred to have their animal’s taken away from their own property to be killed elsewhere. We therefore built the killing facility which we operate out of today. My position in the business is co-owner and I job share the meat packing department with Vicki. I currently only work 3 days a week in the butchery unless my son, Chris, is away on leave in which case I then manage the operation.
Head meat packer and whip cracker is Vicki, she has been with us for 10yrs now.
